well done Alan, hard lines Joe.
Mistakes happen, cant be too hard on the guys doing the scoring, at the end of the day they are doing a job that no one else seems to want...

no matter who is doing a job there is an old saying ( MEASURE TWICE CUT ONCE ) this should have been applied here before any results were given out.

true, but certainly not the first time it has happened at a major competition.
a lot of pressure put on the recorder etc to get results out fast from anglers looking to travel any distance back home asap.

Really feel for Joe and apparently the recount of the scores was done a good while after Joe was given the good news. Anyway well done to Alan on his win.

it is an unfortunate incident for those involved and a horrible emotional rollercoaster for both anglers, leaving a bad taste with everyone present.after a well organised and hard fought weekend it is a shame to see it ruined by such a terrible basic mistake which simply should not happen at that level of competition.

That event has always been ran shockingly bad. Absolute joke.

Sorry but this event was run very well with all anglers that I spoke too praising how well it was run, it is a shame that a good weekend ( with a lot of hard work from all the stewards) was ruined by such an elementary mistake. Oh well done Alan

Cant be to Hard my Bo#~ox , to count 7 fish on one card check it the stated 6th time and still get it wrong... With a comment Quote " We dont make mistakes" preceding the eventual outcome ! out right stupidity ...

well, i wasnt there so suppose cant really comment on the mistake. have seen interprovincial boat cup being presented to the wrong province before as well, infact that was at cahore a few years back. yes, indeed mistakes shouldnt happen, but unfortunately one has been made at one of the biggest competitions in the ifsa. suppose the main thing is that it was corrected on the same day at least rather than rolling on..
suppose there are a lot of guys looking to take over the post now?
