Unlucky Danny. I though that they would be still there on Friday. I'm guessing the rain on Saturday and Sunday pushed them out of the river :?:

Hi lads

Out fishing last night and this morning not much doing i think all the rain at weekend has put a lot of fresh water into river this seems to put the cod of feeding for a while or they move down river a bit.

There was a real snotty North East blowin' as well which I find is never good for the Fishing..I'm sure they will come back though.Maybe Ferrypoint would be worth a bash soon :?:

fished the river today lads for an hour, had 2 cod of 3 and 5lb in 3 casts.the rain always puts the cod of feeding and it generally takes a couple of tides to flush out the rain water

Yeah...there is too much grass weed in Youghal at the moment. The temp needs to drop a few degrees to kill it off also a big gale or two should do the trick and bring in our friends the Codling !!!
