6500 c3 seized bearing

took down my abu and decided to give it a bit of TLC only to find one of the bearings is not to healthy stripped it down and took of the dust cover it is now soaking in wd40 to see if it will help any advice welcome :idea:

this explains why it was squeeling like a pig the last time i used it for casting

get a new set of e-bay there not that expensive you can get most parts for an abu on e-bay

There is no point i trying to recover a seized bearing, the race surfaces and the balls will be pitted by corrosion. Best to buy a new set. Just be aware that not all internet auction traders are totally honest with their descriptions. A friend and I bought what were advertised as ceramic hybrid bearings and they turned out to be normal steel. :evil:

there is a guy on ebay, hot reel deals, who sells different bearings,
even a set of abec7 would do, the size you need by the way is 4/10/4
