darkness will increase your chances ten fold man, i was in killiney last night 5 - 11pm and had dogs, whiting, rockling and two lovely size codling...i was in greystones south beach about a month ago and had bout 15 coalfish up to nearly 40cm savage fishing, again all of these sessions were at night...stay clear of poolbeg especially when there is rain as it puts the fish off big time due to all the freshwater from the liffey
