Thanks for posting the link Camcolite, it was interesting to see the twizzle stick in action as I have heard of it but not seen it. I can't help but think that although quick, it seems to rip/tear the hook free and I wonder how much damage it does. I much prefer the "through the gills" approach; this is well covered in a couple of posts by Petekd and Steve Crow. In my own version of this I use a small Crochet hook requisitioned from my mother's knit/sew etc tackle box, it's ideal for passing through the gills and catching the line without damaging those delicate gills.
