Breakaway impact leads

Postby shortcircuit » Mon Nov 19, 2012 2:48 pm

Was out for a stroll on saturday on a local beach and what did I stumble across but a big lump with a breakaway impact lead stuck in it. As there was no one fishing the beach that day I reckoned someone must have lost it a few days ago. Was in perfect condition.

I've never used one of these before, was just wondering what people thought of them- is the bait clip and release system as good as the alternatives i.e. impact shields etc?

Be wary of using found weights as the saltwater can weaken the metal body leading to disaster .

Cheers Preston, it looked in very good order, like new. I checked the action of the impact cone too and it was working well.
