Trolling for Big Pollock

Just wondering if any of you (experienced anglers) have tried out a Paravane yet. They are available from http://www.marinewebstoreireland.com . I have tried out the Orange one out of Youghal harbour a few weeks ago. I set up my Fladen 7ft with 20lb line tied onto the front of the Paravane and trolled an orange Eddystone Eel about 10ft behind. Within 3 minutes I was into a very nice Pollock, and again and again.
Well worth a try.

Have never tried but often thought it might be worth a go ( Sligo bay ) . Couldn't find one so thanks for the link .
Main question is whether your catch was exceptional for that location --- might you have done as well just drifting in the usual way ?
Any idea what speed you were doing ?
Cheers .

ive made my own board out of wood, they work great for pollack trolling with eels, the pollack love them for some reason, tried them for bass but had no luck and when i take the board off i get the bass, strange
