get on to Mike Simmons(if my memory serves..) of penn reel services. he a nice fella and speedy at what he does. i can look up the number if u cannot find it online. i have ordered parts from him before and recieved them 3 days later. i was still askin at the tackle shop for 9 months(yes MONTHS!!!!) to no avail. they'd sooner sell you a new one!

forgot to say that don't know what mitchell aftersales are like. i'd go straight to the manufacturer if possible. otherwise you may just get a shoddy job at a big price!

a friend of mine had a mitchell reel it needed to be repaired so he gave to our local tackle shop and they sent it back to the manufactures to be fixed.

I use to work in Henry's tackle a good few years back and I can tell you he has nearly every spare part you can think of and he does a heck of a job on them, defo worth a go!

Henry does an excellent job alright. He normally has quite a few reels to go through so it will take him a little while. Let him know it's urgent and I'm sure he will give you a reasonable date.

I don't know anybody in Ireland, cos I haven't been back long enough yet.

When I lived in England, I sent my Penn reels to Mike Simmons, as mentioned above. Excellent work.

All other reels I sent to Nigel Firth, The "Reel Doc". Top Bloke, also excellent work. Let me know if you want his contact details.
