Works very effectively, have been using this method for years on beaches. easier to pick the line up afterwards if you walk back along the beach while peeling the line from the reel too.

Big birds nest last night when I lost concentration in a cast. Couldn't flippin remember what the guy said. Ended up having to cut the line , strip the birds nest and join
Great video, have to try and remember for next time
