Agree with Carpets. I'm not the best with the multi's (still  ) but find the daiwa tournament pretty easy to use.

totally agree with you chris, apart from the braid, the only main line i use now is powersteel 15lb it is the best i've come across, sits well on the reel and cast's beautifully, it is a bit more expensive than other mono but is worth every penny

have to say im loving ultima f1 in black and there power steel, the power steel has a slightly thicker diameter than the f1 but a great line with excellent bite detection,
there is nothing wrong with the other lines recommended to, i find its each to there own on monos, and if you get a bad spool of one it can destroy your faith in them,
i had spool of daiwa tournament and after every snag the line had stretched so bad i had to take it of and re spool, although i only ever had this problem once with it,
and i have had a bad spool of f1 , snapped on every knot i tied

power steel no1, f1 second although i must admitt i,m a braid junkie and find power steel the only mono that can come near it but it wont replace it :)

I have had a couple of bad spools of F1, nasty wirey stuff, doesn't like rocks and I wouldn't buy it again although many people love it. I found the Red Ice more suited to me and I know many people hate it.
I am using Suffix Tritanium at the moment and have found it excellent for everything I do. .35mm is 19lb. I also use Sakuma nite crystal in a heavier gauge for conger.

Keep the diawa stuff out of direct sunlight as much as possible, does not like the UV rays.

I use a Trabucco Surf line in 19lb and pretty happy with it and at 300yrds for a fiver can't complain, not sure if they go down to 15 though....

ultima distance in yellow or suffix tritanium in clear. both .35m in 15lbs. i got a 4000m spool of the tritanium for €36 which works out pretty cheap.

Another vote for the daiwa tournament, used it for years without fault. Have recently been using varivas vermax strong (veals) and really like the stuff so far

Big game is definately one of the strongest lines for the stated breaking strain, used it pike fishing for years, you could tow a car with it!
Take a look at this for some info on different lines and their actual breaking strain under controlled testing, done by a mainly carp fishing tackle shop so a few unfamiliar brands to some but still interesting
