An idea from another forum...

Just wondering what mods / add-ons you guys use for your seat box?

I currently have the backrest/ rack for knife, scissors, pliers. I seen a divider that im going to adapt into my seat box

i saw a guy one night with mushroom trays in his. had his leads and rigs in one tray, reels and spare spools in the other and think he had a 3rd one underneath. anytime he wanted something he just took out the tray he needed. looked very handy with no rooting round for stuff. plus its free if your friendly with the local shopkeeper :D

I have glued strips of velcro across the width of the underside of the lid, and glued small squares of velcro on to my rig winders, so instead of having to root through trace wallets I will have quick access to about 30 traces velcroed onto the underside of the lid of my box.

Nice idea Paddy.... If you looking for even more rig storage, have a spy at the Tronic Rig winders in their box. You get 25 winders per box and 3 boxes go perfectly accross the bottom of the tackle box.

Plenty of good ideas......sh1te at fishing tho!!!!

Another idea that Im toying with is to cut a peice of 3mm sheet plastic to match the width of my box, and about 150mm high. Then bend the plastic into an ' L ' at 100mm, glue the 50mm face onto the box, which will leave a 100mm lip at the back of the box, so if you have rag worm scattered over the lid of your box, you will still be able to open the box without the worms falling off, as the lip at the back will catch them.
I know thats what the trays at the side are for, but I dont like them, I think they take up too much space.

nice ideas lads.. sorted out the box.... I couldnt be bothered sorting out dividers inside the box.. but did find an old small tackle box which i put my weight into.. an empty butter tub for my headlights... I use the tronix rig winders, they are some job and make life so much easier.
at the minute im using sandwich bags to store my boom rigs

nothing wrong with sandwich bags seeing they are almost the same as what you would find in a rig wallet

But none the less some good ideas for guys with beta boxes etc

ice cream tubs for weights and other odds/ends

rig winders in own box

rig wallet

two led lights stuck to inside the box, got them in the pound shop for........... 99p

breakaway back rest, side tray which i use to hold knife, elastic, neddle, dehooker and spare weights/rigs in case need quick change

next stage is to drill a few holes in base of box and side tray to let water out, use lid of box when close to set bait boxes on, small lunch box for worms and one for fish bait

heavy duty cat litter trays... you can stack these inside your box with different odds and ends in each.must go back to using them, someone must have went on a clean up in my garage last week and i was in a hurry for the comp so just threw my box into the car not checking it.. thought it was heavier than normal, turned out to be 11 reels in it, minus my main rig wallet and god knows how many leads in it!!! :x

fairly new to the fishing game what i use for my rigs is pipe insulating cut into about inch lenghts use the cut in the side to trap the top swivel then just wind on snagging the hooks as i come to them works well for me and dont take up much space
