HI ,
cleaning hands after fishing :Hand wash gel ,pink bottle (Lidl ),good smell
of peach,very efficacious!

to make mussel saussage do not forget the apple corer

Bait buckit is a handy invention, its all different compartments for storing different types of baits and its got a chopping board , excellent bit of kit, ordered one last month, 45euro to Ireland!!

Personally I think the bait Bucket is one of the recent scams of the fishing tackle world. It is a decent invention but the price is unreal for a piece of fabricated plastic and the owner of the company must be making a bomb considering the cheap production costs compared to his selling price. Think about it!!!!!!!

to an extent i would agree with ye George. some lads buy em and love and that's great! personally i prefer my old paint tubs and dodgy freezer box. the freezer box is great as you can store everything in tubs and even get a bait tray or two in there aswell. you can also keep a small bottle of water to put on baits to stop them drying out in the sun. a spray bottle is good for this too.

your probably going to think that sounds daft,but ive seen different methods of removing the smell of fish from ones hands from one or two of you on here,but the best thing for removing the smell from your hands is:

SHAVING FOAM.

i swear by it,when i was sea fishing in England and handling all different baits that tend to get smelly after a while a guy told me to use shaving foam and i was suprised that it works.

so there u go,forget about wipes/damp rags etc etc..........

I worry about using solvents etc during fishing. Mind you, I worry when a bloke smoking rollies catches more than me smoking straights - are my hands tainted, and tainting the bait?
I have a commercial kitchen's bar of aluminium 'soap' - it don't get dirt off but it does neutralise smelly hands, something to do with ions. If you find one it'll be about 5euro.
After I've finished, then I'll use the lot: hosiptal alcohol rub, washing up liquid, whatever I can find in the car.

The bakery in Miltown Malbay sells empty buckets (pie filling) for €1.50 these fit 4 of 2 litre milk cartons which can be cut open with the handle left on for easy in and out. There is room to drop a bait knife in the gap in the middle and this beauty comes with a chopping board (well, lid

)

On the down side I have a huge appetite so it is swings and roundabouts when it comes down to owning me..

Tiny first-aid kit with plasters, antiseptic wipes, couple of headache tablets, couple of neurofen.

Those "lock & lock" boxes that seal completely (also sold under Tesco's own brand) are good for bait, particularly if you're on the move.

just thought of one item which is so useful. its a tweezers.ive a stainless one from a discecting kit while i "long term borrowed" from collage.its so useful when rig making for picking up crimps, beeds etc...
