hot melt glue is the best glue to use because if it happens again you can take off the tip easy

Hot melt glue is the way to go. Just pick up a hot melt sticks in your hardware shave a little off the stick with a knife and pack it into the tube of the new eye ring. Melt it with a lighter. Go easy it doesn't need much heat. It might help to use a pliers to hold the eye. Slide it onto the rod, line it up and don't touch it for a few minutes..

hot melt as mac said, but i will add i like to put mine under running cold tap to stop the cooking affect on some tips as to prevent heat damage also takes the wait out of the process
