Sight, smell, movement....

Not sure what section to put this post in, but was wondering if it would be possible to split fish into groups that hunt by sight, smell and movement?

I know for example that Pollack seem to be attracted primarily by the movement of a lure or bait first by the Laterial line, and then by sight when they are close enough and Dogs seems to be attracted to smell. But what about other species such Bass, Mullet, flaties, rays, ling & Conger?

bass, mainly sight in clear conditions, although they use their lateral line and scent organs to feed in surf/cloudy conditions

mullet, seem to be both sight and scent

flatties- definitley both sight and scent

rays feed primarily of scents

congers feed mostly of scent to
