specimen flatties

where in north down would i have a chance of big flounder or dab. which rigs, bait, tide states, wind direction or speed or time of day.

none, not very many places ull get them in north down, ive only caught one dab in ballyhalbert, but if ur looking for bigger flatties the north coast is closet, redbay, whitepark bay some places near larne. You could give ballyholme beach a try it looks like it might hold flats near the boat club, i might give it try some time cuz it must have something there!

fished ballyholme before and I don't think I will be back.

most of the decent flattie beaches are on the antrim coast.

i did get a nice one on millisle beech a few weeks back (34cm i think), in actual fact it was the last sesh i had on the beech, maybe the bigger one mite be movin in.

You'll get a few decent Flounder from Kinnegar in Holywood. I haven't fished for them there for quite a few years now though.
