Theres a great free app for smart phones, gvSIG Mini, you can choose which maps you want to use, Google Maps, Ordanance survey etc. Theres a list to choose from, great for filling in the blanks.

Better again go on to the Marine Institute website and look at their 3D survey for various parts of the coast out to about 6/7 miles.
This identifies bottom terrain, ie ridges,peaks, low rough, mud ,sand and gravel areas. The info on this would be known generally only by commercial fishermen and is a very useful tool for identifying potential fishing spots for various species.
