Floating beads

i know this has been done b4...can we do it again to clarify for me pls :oops: ...how do i present he float bead on my trace/snood? i have large beads and medium beads, no small ones? whats the motivation behind the beads? how many on a trace/snood? where do i put them? any help is as always welcome!!

I dont know if meant this way but i put 2 on a few cm behind hook and only use with worm baits so light enough to lift bait.

I think it helps a bit when it comes to keeping crab of your bait.

I also like to know if another way that works so come on lads reply.

beads of various sizes for various presentations from popping baits up from crabs(when there is no tide), nutralizing the weight of baits or to cause baits to wiggle in the tide. can be used above hook or on top of trace body to lift trace up for midwater species. use a small micro bead or similar above the bead and a stop knot to keep them in place. rubber leger stops are good too as u dont need a bead with them.

they can help catch fish at times that would otherwise not be caught on standard methods- definately worth experimenting with.

species that can effectively be targeted with them are cod, coalies, flounder, plaice, dabs, pollack, mackeral, wrasse, bream, pollack, gars, bass, but will work for dogs and ray....pretty much everything! time and place. luminous are probably best.

no bother. forgot whiting! here i check the bouyancy of em on with the hook sizes i am usin. makes more more confident knowin what is goin on with rig when it's submerged. strong tides can push the most bouyant of beads down to the sea bed explaining why some blame 'swimming crabs' that supposedly take baits.

problemn with the beads is price. 4.50 for 10! cork balls and ear plugs will pop baits too.
