predictable fishing.

BIGGER Bass..1 i wont forget, yas probaly wont belive this , but it happened, and its true, fished a mark landed 2 and hooked a biggie jst as the light was going, went foul after a few mins, bit the line and tyed it to to some trife, returned at l.w. line and swivel still there 25 euro S. feed gone , fished there again that eve. with a panchenco thay a mate had broken give it to me and i had superglued it back together, 5 yards out it was taken, the fish done his AC/DC impression and i cud see the S.F. flat under his chin, then the fish was gon, with half a panchenco in his jaw and ths S.F. in his chin, thats 50 euros , went back again the next eve. and again as the light was going, the S.F. got hit hard 3 yards out, this is a very reefy patch with a lot of rocks stickin up above the water, so i gave him no quarter , evert time he dived i jabbed the head off im,........... drag thightened, backwind disengaged, every time he dived as the handle sped round just tapped/stopped it momenteraly, it knocked the head of him, jab,jab,jab got him in and got my 3 lures back, i would have liked to release him but he was bleedin a lot , i left the lures in him .............sat down and had a smoke , and wondered had i caught a fish or killed a warrier?.........he won the first 2 battles, but i won the war ................. a warrier with 3 medels who died in battle

result weed, crabs, more weed and more crabs
h.w was 18.38, enjoyed the fishing, just like weeding the garden except
having a rod in my hand and not a rake!

theres a good sun/moon combination on friday eve at 20.30, big fish are a real possablity,

best i cud manage only had 4 casts fished from 7.45/9pm. got the fish first go., conditions were perfect, would guess that there were a few about, would like to have started earlyer and stayed later

tide was dropping tonight for me, i ran out of water!!!!

previous predictions worked in arklow last may!

went out tonight for an hour and a half at about nine to use up my bait,
high tide at about half eight.
about ten o clock i thought i had a tope!!
the run and scrap was mental!
result...6lb bass. well happy

of the 750 bass reported on site in the last 8 months, only 2 were got on the day of the biggest tides N.M. + 2,:? makeing it the single worst day :shock., bear in mind this is only 2/3 days after the single best day with almost 100

maybe they are stuffed to the gills from the frenzy just beforehand

Could it be anything to do with the force of the Tide being too strong for it to be comfortable for them to feed ?!

Hmm.....but the tidal forces build up gradually to full moon day and then fall away gradually. The catch graph plunges from a high figure to almost zero in that single 24-hour period. Very puzzling altogether. Maybe some expert in the Marine Institute can suggest something?

PS: Just sent an email to them to see what explanation they can offer.

seanie, craigo good point..however there must always be some hungry fish about and likewise calm spots/times...............and its not just bass catches of all other species are also lowest
1, it,s not a shortage of food
2, it,s nothing to do with weather, wind,temp,s both sea and air,air pres,ect.
3, it not the actuel tide hight or sea state.

just got a massive idea!!! ....think i have it sussed there,s a "switch over"...........like an eclips.. , or something.
