Hi Cortaz, im gonna try to get out on saturday, im in Inishowen up north, will there be much variation in the times that you've stated above for waterford and me in inishowen?
The info im getting of that us naval site for my coords is as follows:

SR is 08.48
ST is 12.24
SS is 16.00

MS is 10.12
MR is 16.29
MT is 0.45

Re: predictable fishing.

paddy, i checked it out and theres only slight variations in sulunar times between north%south, (about 20 mins.) so you are spot on 8)

Re: predictable fishing.

Fri Dec 12, 2008 1:47 pm

Thanks Cortaz, but I was thinking that different tide times would effect the best fishing times?

Again for tomorrow, at the mark im thinking about going
ht 07.11
lw 13.34
ht 19.38

All your reports seem to be for Bass fishing, does this solunar theory effect all fish in the same way?

paddy, the tides are about 90 mins. earlter down here, not to sure how it would affect your area, i.m.o. it wont matter a great deal,,,, it effects all fish that i have fished for sea/fresh. ,,reasons for mostly bass reports, i am an bassaddict :) throughtout the yrs. i have fished for lots of other fish...........in last few months i/we have had catches of over 20 t.b. rays in a session, another day we had 7 plaice 2 over 3lb. 10 mullet in 90 mins. 5 2lb.+flukes in an hour 1 day 2 wks back,,,,,,, had 2 specimen g.h.b. in session.........cud go on ......2 specimen bass on livebait, both over 11lb.....3, 4lb.+ coddling on the same trace....theres only so much that i report on, mostly bass :) just 1 more, our best day at pollock last summer about 700lb. and inbetween all that i did a fair bit of river fishin.... next yr. i will post all my catch reports in a bit more detail

Re: predictable fishing.

seening as theres a big surf on the south coast thought this might help anyone how intends fishing any cresent shaped beach.
the surf will be at its biggest at the extream easteren end, and smallest at its westeren end,
IE. if its 6 ft. at eastern end then it will be 3/4ft. in the middle and only 1/2 ft. at the western end.

3 pics. of clon. taken on same/time shows the difference in surf hights,
pic. 1 surf at 1/2 ft. pic. 2 surf at 3/4 ft. pic. 3 surf at 6 ft. so when the surf to big to fish at the east end say its 15 ft. then it will be less than 5ft. at the westweren end, and easy to fish.

do you mean these ones here SK? http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... IF:IE:1348
I tried them last year, very sharp hooks and fair enough quality for the money, considered loosing them to snags anyway at some stage
