just thought i,d put this up here seen as someone thought they knew everything
as with all fixed spools if your casting much weight make sure the spool is at the bottom of its stroke ,this will stop you bending the axle and having a wobbly reel

old news
an even BIGGER more important tip, is to make sure you tighten down your spool, casting big weights with a loose spool could lead to you cutting or losing the tip of your finger

Must say, that is something I ever even thought about. Now that I do think about it, it makes sense. It hurts when I think too much. Thanks for the tip.

pumping in fish or big clumps of weed in the tide with the spool fully up does more damage
