Enterprise Kilmore Quay Sunday 6th January 2019

Out with Dick Hayes on the Enterprise

Six fishing, lovely day out there - weather good, sea conditions calm, nice easy drift.

Variety of rigs - hokkais, feathers, jellies and soft plastics.

Bait was frozen mackerel and squid - didn't seem to make much difference, unbaited rigs catching just as well if not better.

Good few pollack biggest about 4lb most in the 2-3lb bracket, three cod biggest about 3lb. Small cuckoo wrasse, ballan wrasse and whiting also made an appearance.

Pleasant day out there and nice to get out early in the year.

Lot of seals about.

Sorry no pics - next time!

Pat

Cheers jelkybait.

No herring or launce but no one was really targeting them.

I meant to try with some smaller sabiki rigs but I forgot!
