Ballycotton

There's no way it could be a fresh water lamprey. There is no fresh outlet within miles of Ballycotton.

Couldn't agree more barry ,good wee comp and it helped make bad sessions more bearable trying to winkle out something different .
It also helped a few people with identification of fish

Again thanks jd ,and also rockhopper/ian golds for supplying prizes .

Personally I think its a great competition, some of the species are the kind a lot of anglers (self included) throw back with a tut of disappointment, but with a species hunt like this all fish count.....and to get as many as 50 wow!! some going....well done everyone!

This comp was def a good idea,i`ve ended the year with quite a few new species and as ronald said it made the slow days a little more interesting.
Thanks jd for all the effort throughout the year and also to rockhopper and ian golds for sorting out prizes. :)

i wonder how many species i could`ve caught if i hadn`t spent over five months fishing for mullet :D

A big well done to Ronald, Davey, Martin and everyone else who has entered into the spirit of this year long competition. Fishing is all about levels of skill, dedication and personal enjoyment... 65 species is a truck load of all of these !! This competition has shown how much fun it can be to set targets for individual species, however big, and just proves that size isn't everything......
As you can see I will be sponsoring the hunt again for 2008...and this year will see a competition for beach and boat, with three prizes in each category. I hope you have fun in your quest to reach all of your target species...and wish you all happy hunting !!
I'll be fishing the Winter Beach festival in a couple of weeks so may see some of you there.
Bye for now...your happy sponsor...
Ian Golds.

ps..sorry for not sending this before, but I have had problems posting on the site.
