Many lads plug away through the winter (You see what I did there :) ).... There's no doubt that it is tough going.

A lead head with a jelly worm will catch pollock if they are there.I find orange, red, black or any combination works best. But that’s my opinion.Cast out and retrieve at a steady pace and when you feel the fish plucking at the lure keep on retrieveing,do not strike let the fish hook itself or you will pull the lure out of the fishes mouth when the rod goes over bully the fish or he will take you in to cover and you will do well to get him back out. Also try to change the speed you retrieve at till you find what’s working. Also any silver spinner fished in a sink and draw will work to.
