These have to be a killer lure around estuaries and around rough ground.
Rigged backwards and jigged or hopped along the sand.

This is even better :

They look amazing but I wonder if they are meant for a fly rod?

There is a blog post somewhat related.

I have seen them rigged backwards on a Texas rig too.

So they dart around backwards like a prawn, they did look the part.

Ah no. I was thinking to use them off the boat as is, but to demount and re-rig some for dusk/dark shore work.
Will try them on weighted worm hooks where the weight is wrapped on the hook shank, that should help.

Its important to rig these backwards, they look more natural and prawns defend themselves by swimming backwards, any fish that sees this will attack. I have also seen a Smoothound taken from the shore by something similar a good few years back. Can't wait to try these out.

Yeah I kept a marine tank for years with 3 different types of shrimp so got a good idea of how they react when threatened. Leap of faith lure but I think they will work great!
