Essential for the dark nights ahead.

Postby Deise boy » Wed Sep 25, 2013 8:34 pm

Hi lads.

Been looking at getting a good set of LEDs for night fishing with the dark nights coming in
Hand a small set but want something that won't fall to bits after a drip of water hits them. And be rugged for being thrown around.
Couldn't believe the different amount online. So dug deeper and read a few reviews.
Seems best out there for the price are these.

Princeton tec vizz.
Lots of little extra settings etc. very long life takes recharging batteries or normal.
Low light high light red led to keep the bugs off. Etc etc etc.

There not to expensive.

Say €50 all in. But can only be got in America.
Anyone use / tried / have them that could add a little help to my ore purchase.

They seem the business for the price.

Any info would be helpful or a link to buy somewhere closer.
Preferable Ireland.
Local shop can't get them I tried.
Thanks on advance.

That looks like a very good light. I especially like the idea of having lower power LED's for baiting up and not spooking fish. I normally clip a light onto my hat for this work.

I got a nice powerful Cree light with Thrustfire 3.7v battery off ebay that is going strong now for about 2 years. Cracking bright light, but I do like the versatility of the one above.

Have the Chubb headlight too - tis a good one. You won't be lighting up the entire beach like some lamps, but personally I think that's not a bad thing! Plenty of light from it anyway and nice to have the red light function.

Another vote for the Chubb headlamps, mine was sat in 3" of water in the bottom of my bag for 3 days and still works like new
