I have seen Dutch/Belgians using them to great effect fitted to a single hook at the end of a little jig - for bass and pollack.

i have thousands of them dunno where they came from might trow som on a jig head and have a go later:/

gave them a bash last one pollack bout 1lb
let it sint to the stones and retrieved
the water might have been rong ant it was ptch black at night?
