I have been lure fishing all year round the last few weeks have been tough with a load of blanks for me .Drive on sur what else would you be doing, if your not fishing you have no chance in getting a few .It can only get better cant get any worse

I have spoke to a few ppl getting bass all year round. Mostly in Winter they are fishing settled conditions, as "warm" as poss and clear water being important. So watch out for days where the temp creeps to 8oC ish, and coupled with settled dry periods, clear water with a bit of life in it. Fishing the lures much slower than usual for obvious reasons. Nice slow shallow diver would be a good idea.

As the fella said...there's no problem trying...the catching could be another question!
It will be probably be March/April when you will be consistently catching. I think the thing is not to lose heart if you don't catch immediately!

Lure fishing for bass usually starts to produce from Paddy's weekend. However, you can be lucky so that's why its worth giving it a go right through the winter months.

I had two sessions today, both fruitless....but if you don't try you'll never know.
