wave worm,xlayers,slug go's

Alri lads just wondering what way do you find best to retrieve the above lures and do you fish them weightless texas etc? Just wanted to see what works best for you.i find weightless with a slow retrive and little twitches works best myself

Hey Lure,I myself have only started to use soft plastics in the last few years for slug gos i use them weedless and fish them slow.For Xlayers i use a 7g jig head and let them bounce around in the surf, but what i know about it is the results can be leathal so keep fishing the way your going me thinks

Ye only started using them last year myself class lures

slug go's can be effective aswell skipping them across the surface on a calm day.......texas style

regarding wave worms i use a 7g decoy head on them with a bit of super glue to stop it sliding down hook.ive had a good few bass with this method as the lure really dances with small movements of the rod which i think drives the bass mad.chartereuse and white colour the best

Depends on the situation. If I’m fishing an estuary channel where casting distance isn’t an issue I’d go weightless or possibly with a weighted hook. A five inch senko can weigh 10 or 12g on its own. I find the less you do to senkos in estuary’s the better – get them out there, mend the line to keep up with them in the flow and let them roll down the tide. The retrieve should be painfully slow – no harm to lift the rod tip vertically once in a while to move them up in the water column before letting them fall naturally again.

From the rocks I’d fish anything from a 3.5g to 10g jig head on SPs depending on the water conditions, SP weight and ground. If it’s relatively clean then standard jig heads are fine, otherwise find a jig head you can fish texas style or rig it with a weedless hook and add a cone sinker. Works great for wrasse amongst the kelp.
