Wherebouts in north wexford most of the rock marks are over clean sand .

The rocks around cahore and courtown are packed with dogfish.Probably better of stickin to the beaches

Won't be that far from Cahore , only 10 mins away. Don't like the sound of all the dogfish, are there many areas that are good for rock hopping up along that way? I'll give the beaches a go but I do like my LRF.

Guys , can anyone explain the tides around this region to me? I reckoned to add on an hour from wexford but they seem to be all over the place according to easytide.

Worst place in the world to predict a tide, the difference between high and low along there in unnoticeable most of the time

Easytide is a bit cr@p , never even close to my tide table and that's accurate .

There's rocks from which you can fish (Cahore Point, Roney point etc) but as was mentioned before, you'll be mostly fishing over clean ground. These marks will produce bass to lures in the right conditions, but for the best of the shore fishing in North Wexford you'd be best off bait fishing from the beaches. Smoothies on crab bait in the summer, bass & flounder on lug in the autumn. Otherwise it's just dabs, whiting and more dogfish than you can shake a stick at. I reckon anybody with the patience & time to figure out the lure fishing potential for bass along this coastline could have a lot of success. The mullet in Courtown harbour are also worth mentioning. And I used to catch congers up to 20lbs from Cahore Pier, although that was over 20 years ago.
