I have no idea ! sounds like something you would do with crops :lol:
Ah there is that many names and phrases for different aspects of lure fishing, its boarding on ridiculous!

the only slash and burn i know is nothing to do with fishing . in the jungle you chop trees down and set fire to them to make an area for growing crops :(

Hmm, it's something I read on lure descriptions on Veals website..... I wondered because I've never heard of it before.

from i can gather on google it appears to be an american technique

slash refers to the type of lure, a "slash bait"

burn refers to "burning" the lure, which just means they retrieve it really fast

i could be wrong though cos i cant find a complete description of the technique and am putting 2 and 2 together so i could be getting 5

Reading between the lines of their blurb that sounds about right. Well done. I thought it was something like that.
