Hi Samo
Hope you haven't bought this yet. I recently got myself a Savagegear Bushwacker 8' from Henry's in Dublin
for €75. Can't recommend it enough!!

Hi Tommy B,
I am looking at the Bushwhacker myself, which casting weight did you go for witht the 8ft ?
Is there much difference between the 10-40 g and the 15-50 g do you reckon.
Thanks for any input guys.

Hi Wobbie
Only seen this now!! I got the 10-40 as I use a lot of soft plastics. The 15-50 will be a little sturdier
but not much in it really. I would actually buy another one if I needed the extra strength. Can't
go wrong with €75
Hope this helps

Thanks Tommy,
I was so excited about catching some bass that i went out and bought the 15 - 50 gram yesterday,
Mainly using it for plugs but will get into plastics as season goes on.
Must say it is a lovely looking rod and weighs next to nothing..
Bring on tomorrow

Yes the weight in them is nothing and makes a huge difference. I use mine with a daiwa luvias 2500 (8oz). To me this is perfect size reel although I have yet to catch on them yet. Probably get out myself tmw evening I can't wait. Hopefully the weather holds up. Good luck tmw!!

Hi Samo,
I bought a Daiwa Powermesh x9 a few weeks ago. I found it to be a well balanced light rod with a bit of back bone when required. A great caster and very sensitive. I have landed some nice fish with it and I cannot fault it. I paid €80 for it in Rory's and think it's fantastic value for that money.

Don't feel bad tinto
I too paid 95 euro for the bushwacker but it was money well spent, wait till you start catching on the little beauty !!
It is a big step up from the last rod i had.
P.S make sure to try it out with a spool of braid, you wont regret it.
