and there come the POLLOCK!

Hi eveybody,

after losing a few good pollocks trying to get them up on the rocks i finally managed to get one safe home, this one is about 2lbs maybe slightly lighter, was caught on a 6" plastic worm attached to a 28g jig head scraping the bottom on quite a rough sea with no clarity at all, cloudy skys and a face wind.

Persistence pays off...... 8) It'll get easier from here on.

The red stones stir memories - are you down south somewhere?

yeah, i was fishing for the past month and a half down church bay, crosshaven.
in overall got 4 pollocks the biggest was 4lbs and loads of mackerels mostly using a dexter wedge or any other wobbler, didn't really like the feathers felt on my spinning rod.

unfortunately, my time in ireland this year is just about to end...i'll might visit mertyville next week if i'll get a chance, the evenings over there are incredible with all the mackerels jumping of the shore, although i dedicated one of the mornings and came up with nothing despite going all along the shore and trying loads of lures, wobblers and etc.
