Lure fishing near Youghal??

Postby dangler » Wed Aug 11, 2010 11:30 am

Despite my best efforts I still havent managed to catch a bass on a lure yet but it something that I hope to have achieved by the end of the summer!
Im going to be down in Youghal this Saturday and am hoping to get in a few hours fishing that evening. Is there any spots in Youghal I should try? Il be heading back to Dublin via Waterford so I could try anywere between the two. I know that lads dont want to be giving away secret marks but a pm or general area would be great. Also I was looking at the tides and high tide is around 9 oclock in that area. Is this good or does the area fish best at low water. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

get to the mark at low tide and work out if there are any gullies or rocks to cast over or near when the tide is filling, you could be on the right beach but on the wrong spot.
Species 2011: Bass (FINALLY), Mullet, Flounder, Mackeral, Pollock, Coal fish.
