hi all ,
ive been a very keen shore angler for 15 years now and can say that bass are my fav fish to hunt fishing the dingle peninsula and most popular dublin wicklow marks in persuit (my personal best toppin the scales at over 11lb coming from killiney ) but with bait only. My question is that i plan on hunting the species this coming year using lures and coming from dublin would love to know if any1 out there knows of any north dublin marks worth trying. I have heard rumours of fish being taken on lures from such places as portrane/donebate,malahide ,sutton and ive caught small bass in portnarnock on bait before but no solid info and i remain sceptical.. ? any info would be appreciated

hows things,
all dublin marks have bass its mainly watercraft which is most important, you are looking for mixed or rocky ground that the tide strips off at low water and you can see where there is cover for crab shrimp and small fish ie gullies, boulders and weed.between dunany point and howth nearly every single beach has a rocky mixed ground outcrop these outcrops hold good bass if you put the time and effort into them.go out to these places over low water without your gear and spend just as much time looking around as you do fishing and it will pay off.

I,ve collected a few nice high end plugs from certain areas in Malahide and Portrane lost by Anglers when snagged,So this would lead me to believe........

The water clarity is improving and temps are rising so its almost getting time to hit certain marks Sea serpent. Also Estuaries can be good for pluggin..

for BASS
