Hi
I have recently bought some jellies, imitation sandeels etc, and I am not sure where the best places are to fish them? I usually fish off piers, is this any good or should I be looking for other marks ?
What fish will be taking jellies ?
Thanks for any advice.

without having scouted an area too much the jellys and sandeels are great for pollack - if mack are around use the sandeel instead of feathers - youll get the mac as by catch - but you also have a better chance of bigger pollack
piers are a good starting point - but if you can get out and do some rockhopping with a bit of depth at your feet - then youll get into pollack - keep it low on the retrieve - they usually follow first and hit it late
the advantage of the worms/sandeels - is that you are going to get snagged etc. but youve a better chance of these lures bouncing through the weed/rock than feathers or harder lures
if you know of bass/sea trout in an area or go looking for them the sandeels can work there too - but you need to find channels gulleys and features where they are hanging out - it will take time but catching a bass on a lure is great craic
good luck at it
