Do Mullett take lures ?

Do mullet take lures - if so what do you recommend ?

They take baited lures. They are attracted to anyting shinny on the surface, if you have some ragworm/maggots attached to a mepps(Mullet spinner) they will take it.

is that thin lip or thick lip....i know thin lip will take a baited mepps (rag worm on a single hook)....will thick lip??

yes they do ,lure was being fished for bass in shallow water (2 foot) walkin the dog for 6 foot followed by 10 foot quick retreive sub surface

yea mullet take lures, mainly thin lipped mullet go for them, golden greys go for them and thick lipped mullet are occasionally taken on lures. baited tobies and spinners are ur best bet.

I had one on a Flying C in corl harbour a few weeks ago, :) saw a shoal of what i thought were bass and cast into them, first cast produced a savage take and the line screamed off the reel. Success :lol: I soon figured i had hooked a mullet across the back!! If ya think they fight hard try pulling one in sideways :lol: No harm done to the fish, swam off fine.
