Whiting on lure?

When reading all reports about Whiting alot of people were saying these fish will take nearly any bait. Will Whiting take a lure, pardon my ignorance on this one

i was experimenting a few years back painting lures with glow in the dark paint which i then charged with my lamp, took 2 decent whiting off whiterock with this method

They will devour them.

Use rotten bottom setup and put a size 10 salmon fly on the line. So easy.

had my biggest one on a mackerel feather, had them on flies at portaferry and had one on a spinner
