Results: Lots of Whiting 6 Wrasse 1 Codling 1 Pollock
Report: I was pretty browned off about not getting a session in the weekend, there was a break in the winds and I decided a wee session is in order. Good job as the wife was starting to nag about the bait in the fridge Decided to hit a mark near bullock and see what was about. It was pretty quiet for the first hour, not even a bite .At this stage I was thinking I should have stayed in bed Decided to head for deeper water and tied off to a buoy. Pretty much straight away I was on to Whiting, every drop produced After a half hour or so I had enough and the wind was starting to pick up too. I went for a sheltered spot and again tied off. Got chatting to a couple of lads on the water and they were saying the harbour mouth was producing. I had a wee look at the harbour and decided not a chance(lazy bugger). Decided on one more move and tied off. Straight away I felt a nice thump on the rod (thank god) and with that it was a busy hour. The two rods were tapping away when I got a fierce run and the line peeled off the reel. I lifted up into it and SNAP the line snapped just above the hook.Fish after fish until the bait ran out. The Wrasse were hitting hard with a foul hooked Pollock and then to top it off a wee Codling Happy with that I was.
