21st of may suit everyone with the 22nd as our blow out date,
probably set out from killiney by the carpark if that suits, fish the reefs for cod,Pollock and wrasse, then maybe try along the cliffs with spinning gear for the bass? or if we want to target animals, who knows an early tope we could try some of the inshore banks too

Hiya bud

How close to the water is the car park at Killiney? I dont trialer my RIB, I inflate it when I get to where I want to fish.

AFternoon

Is the meet still on for the 21st? Need to make sure I dont go over my fishing time allowance given to me once a month by The Boss. What sort of time are we talking about?

I have never fished this area before, so what sort of rigs would you recommend using? Never caught a smoothie before so I wouldn't mind hooking into one, and I have seen from previous posts that they are caught in this area.

Cheers

what time suits ya dillon and gillhooley, im free all day,
we can target hounds if you want might be early but worth a shot, rigs we'l need are animal rigs(heavy three hook flowing), feathers, perhaps plugs if anyone wants too target the bass along the cliffs

If anyone can allocate a spot on their boat for a SWFF??? Mostly interested in fishing along the cliffs, in water less than 50 feet.

Mon May 12, 2008 10:21 am

can be done Anthony  there are also a number of reefs in the bay which hold good numbers of pollock and cod ranging from 10ft up to 50ft

Mon May 12, 2008 11:54 am

Nice one. Would def, be interested.

Mon May 12, 2008 12:05 pm

I might tag along in the RIB eric. Plenty of room to cast a fly on the boat on the front part of the deck. Could act as a support crew as well :D  .

Mon May 12, 2008 12:07 pm

Mon May 12, 2008 12:21 pm
