Handy broken rod repair?

For coarse poles ok,, but would this be a lasting repair for a beach rod....? :?

To be fair that looks pretty ok but as you said i dont think id have too much trust in it on a beach rod

looks like a solid job personally i would have also put some pvc/fiblerglass tubing the right diameter inside one side of the pole glue/epoxy in place to create a male part to side the other piece onto more glue/epoxy then as he done.i would say it would be solid enough for a pole rod that's slide in and out but for casting comps and pendulium casting i would take care till ive done 10 or 20 casts.

It's not worth a fook for any kind of casting let alone pendulum. Great for building new spigots though
