What a day... Between the hangovers and the heat it was a real killer on the field yesterday.
Huge thanks to Dennis Retter & Jay Lee (UKSF) and Martin Campbell (UCC) for coming and making it another day to remember and to all our own bunch for all their help and I cant leave out Chef Cracko for organising the BBQ. As usual we ended up casting uphill with the wind direction we had so between that and the heat it really was a tough day all round as distances show.
Top spot went to last cast Frank Folan, who had a jump of 7m in the wildcard round to take the lead and also added another PB to his tally..
well done Frank..

Distances in meters:

Frank Folan:150g-229.96/125g-228.38----agg458.34
Jay Lee:150g-231.26/125g-225.76----------agg457.02
John Henry:150g-217.06/125g-216.07------agg433.16
PaddyC:150g-208.69/125g-216.41----------agg425.10
Martin Campbell:150g-197.70/125g208.33-agg406.03
Dennis Retter:150g-187.94/125g-197.24--agg385.18
Shane Horan:150g-187.76/125g-NCR------agg187.76
Brendan Cleary:150g-171.76/125g-NCR----agg171.76
Ian Daly:150g-NCR/125g-165.15----------agg165.15
Lee Gallagher-DNR
Clive Grace-DNR...

Yeah maybe in the tips but they both have PTX butts that are as stiff as my early Primo FT's... Jay's rod wasnt half as stiff as I would have thought its actually one of the softest TXLs Ive seen or nearly cast!! since I dropped back to shorter rods I think the 14ft odd caught me out.. and of corse the video would have to be running at that time...
