The only reason I wont be going is my girlfriens is due a baby right at the end of August, if not id be there even though im not the most talented caster in the world, the honour and pride in representing your country and doing your bit towards the development of casting in Ireland is worth putting your hands in your pocket for. I think its an awful shame we dont have at least 4 lads going but fair play to the 3 lads stepping up to the plate 8) Im currently looking at dates and tides for the big fish bomber so watch this space.

I normally leaving the casting post to the caster but this funding issue is gone beyond a joke.
I have also posted about this on the angling side of things.

Have a look at some of the funding dished out to other sports that don’t even get International recognition

Beside that best of luck to the lads travelling

•Trout Anglers Federation of Ireland (TAFI).

Fair play to the lads going it's a big expense for those involved, the fact you have to pay your entry fee is a joke never mind the travelling, let's hope the big fish bomber is bigger again this year, and lots of much needed funds are raised
