Beach casting !

Postby JPS » Thu May 26, 2011 2:53 pm

Well the holidays are long forgotten and the madness of the office means that I can only get away for short breaks during lunch for a cast and relax. The weather this week has been anything but ideal with straight southerlies blowing 25 to 30 knots through to westerlies just being annoying. Still I would rather don the gum boots and get down to the beach than spend the time tied to the desk.

As you will see from the video clip the casting was not always what I was after( especially when hitting the deck ) but as they say , no pain no gain so I will be making more of my lunch breaks in lead up to the June Comp at Lancefield. If nothing else the bad weather and loose footing is good training for what we may encounter during the comp.

feedback and comments welcome. :D

The wet line makes you have to come around slower to avoid line slip , also you get a salt spray every cast , quite funny when your glasses fog over
