which rod / reel?

hi guys

as per title, new to distance casting, and looking for a reasonably priced rod reel combo, open to any suggestions

Try uk hooks, gerrys of morcambes build can be dodgy so beware of them.

go for a cheap daiwa rod. dont waste money on 30-40 euro rods. go for a 80 euro rod. check out cash converters for multipliers. i would recommend a shakespeare.

Abu reel m8 (made in Sweden...not china!) 6500/1 - 7000/1 try the rocket ...just got a 'Shimano Cardiff 401' but havn't got a chance to use it yet!...


00= right hander 01 = left hand

Have a look at the abu enticer .61 euros from baumans. .I have 3 abu myself enticer , equaliser .viper. good rod for the price. If you can get you hands on an equaliuser get that
.It should be about same price as enticer.As for reels I would suggest a slosh 30 .Great alround reel . and will last a lifetime. They cost about 100 euro.Try buy and sell for a second hand
one .
