found this on youtube, seems like it coulld be adapted for the long continental fixed spool outfits for thumping a flapper out a good distance.

eric i cant open that
Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!

Hi Trout hunter it is 15 feet in length. I found this cast can send a bait out quite a long way and the short drop helps with this cast. I usually have the weight behind me as close to the ground as possible. I noticed a difference in distance when i first used this cast :) looks a bit weird while doing it but it works
