Terrible conditions, i dont think ive ever gotten that wet casting before. The crack was still mighty none the less with plenty of golden moments thrown in to keep us all well amused

A big well done to both Marty and Cracko, great to see it go down to the wire like that and for Cracko to pull a new Irish Record/OTG out of the bag was excellent given the conditions.
It was good too see some old faces back out and getting stuck in and im already looking forward to next years casting.

Id like to thank everyone who turned up and for helping set up and pack down the court, and also to Tom Burness for donating the prizes at such short notice they were very much appriciated.
I should have some footage up later today.

Great Day indeed, big thanks and weldone to all who turned up and cast on what was horrible wet day.
The crack was good as always and spirits were high throughout the day.

Great to see new members too and next year should be great with plenty of competition to keep us all busy practising!
Very big weldone and richly deserved retention of the title to Marty despite being shadowed by Cracko ( the statue) Henry! :D

Many thanks to Tom Burness for his continued support of the club with fantastic prizes again this year.

My personal highlight of the day was mastering the Ozzie 3 step cast to perfection!! :D
Jeremy and Co you'd better watch out, I put an Irish twist to the cast and the result spoke for itself, Paddy has the clip!

Thanks for the excellent day out lads. And well done to all.

Some great casts on a very tough day. I'm still miffed at not being able to hit the 200 Meter mark, but I suppose if you only throw every 6 months these things happen.

I still managed 2 PB's on the day and had my first official throw over 180 Meters, so I can't b!tch too much

I read the results of the recent casting event, in what were difficult conditions the distances achieved were excellent!
Its a very long time since I was on a casting court, but the skills learnt stay with you and improve your shore angling catch rate.
My own casting was with the UKSCC which was organised by Terry Carrol and his wife Barbara, these events wereheld in Hillingdon Nw
London. There were Also a lot of events which were organised by various clubs and sponsored by Sea Angler Magazine.
Maybe I'll have a few goes at winding up the Zipplex Quattra and joining you lads at a tourney next year.
Just had a thought , is the Quattra now an antique??
