Nice one Andrew and we can do a bit shooting and quading as well, what's the field like is it hedged, hilly, flat, do we have 360 yardage. Interesting :D
Kstaff has always been the new black in my eyes anyway!!!!!!!

a new venue for casting and within casting distance, and we can work from the back of our cars

thats too easy, bring back fairyhouse i say, and does'nt the heart just pang for session in the old reliable and legendary-sandymount

anyway, i presume my idea for wanging off the top of the sugarloaf and using it as our new venue did'nt quite cut the ice though :(

so whats the problem, not fit enough is it? a few runs up and down the hill retrieving leads will get the lungs blowing in the rarified air

i'm not giving up though, even if i have to start my own 'high altitude casting club'

i'm personally guaranteeing 200plus meters to all learners [including first time pendulumers]and 450 meters for experienced wangers who join

i can see this taking off in a big way

we have a choice of fields depending on conditions. the main field ie casting from west to east is flat some others have a slight fall etc but the beuaty is its about a mile in from the main road and no one can bother us . we have to pay for this privelage but its worth it in the long run.

thats what its all about 8) no pressure lessons on a court with your own fishing gear and just among your own club .

We were down there again today finalising things, the main field as Andrew said is westerly and at 350M its more than enough, and we can also vary the court angles to suit wind conditions, we also have the use of another field there that runs N-S so every direction is covered. The main field it self is reasonibly flat, a small dip running left to right 3/4 of the way up, the other one is N-S and is on a slight incline if casting N and decline for S. This place really has all of the boxes ticked for us and looks set to become an exceptional venue, it makes a big change from fairyhouse which proved very hard to get distance most of the time but without the massive walk.

Lee as you say we wont know our selves, driving straight onto the court and working out of the back of the cars, really looking forward to it..
