Casting meets in Cork?

Postby tazdogue » Tue Mar 03, 2009 5:14 pm

Is there anywhere in Cork that have casting meets? I would be interested in seeing the different techniques people use.
Are there rules involved?

Ive looked at lots of videos but i would love to see one of the comps just to see the various techniques in person.
Is there an all Ireland competition for casting?

Not at the moment Taz, we may look into holding an open at some stage in the future if there is enough interest, there is however an "Ulster Open" later this year (Sept 19/20th) to be hosted by the Ulster Casting Club. http://www.ulstercastingclub.org/forum/index.php

Dave Joly on here might be someone to get onto as he expressed an interest before about starting a casting club down south but i didnt hear any info since:?:

Other than that Sportscast Ireland are the only club in operation in the republic that i know of so you would have to travel up...
