Postby Conger » Thu Oct 16, 2008 9:37 pm

I have in the last 12 months started using a slosh 20 multiplier, i got brake blocks with it but i am wondering can someone advise me as to how to put these in, i was told that these would help control the reel

Thanks a mill

get your self a screw driver and remove the left hand side plate to expose the inside of the spool you will notice on the side of the spool there is two little stainless pins stick one block on either side and see how it goes.
you might start with bigger blocks first just to get used to the reel.

make sure blocks dont fall off ween putting reel back together.

i suspect if you have been using the reel you must have the spool
tension screwed tight, ie spool float, you will need to re-adjust it
screw it off just enough to allow the spool to move from side to side.

you dont mention that the reel is uncontrollable ? is it ? usually the brake blocks are fitted in the factory and you get a spare set in with the reel aswell .

the 3 sloshes that i have also came with no brake blocks fitted.
they came with 2 sets of blocks large and small so thethe choice of blocks is up to you.

Hi Lads, thanks a mill for the advice, i am going to try and fit the larger blocks and give it a run over the weekend. I think i tried to run before i could walk. Hopefully this will make the difference because there were times i found it hard enough to control, i will let ye know how i get i on.

Cheers
