wondered would it not be worth following their lines,or giving it a try,
shorter rods, more speed, useing far less powerfull rods to acheive
better distance, their must be some thing in it, when they finished above
the irish boys, and less technique toboot, thought provokeing.

Stevo,

Japan have always had a stong casting team to my knowledge, they are mostly sponsored by either Shimano or Daiwa though and the rods are made as one off's for each caster.....that may change now though, as they went back from the Big Danny with a sh*t load of Zziplex rods and have faxed orders for a sh*t load more "thought provokeing" indeed  who is following who

Hard to keep up with you stevo ! Another new logon name ? The top 3 japanese casters used zziplex rods and abu reels . I know cos i was there . And seen them cast good casters but they used there style of pendulem cast just like every other caster uses there own style .

Alot of teams done well over there but I don't think changing rods and styles will change anything to be honest. If I wanted to emulate anyone it would be the French they came first!! :D

Tyrex rods and Daiwa 7ht reels too.

thats right AG, had problems logging in , just a mix-up with pass words,
was surprised to hear they used zziplex rods, but not suprised to hear
they took a few home, being sponsered makes a huge difference,
must not have been a rod manufacturer who sponsored them,

regards steve.
